Abstract

Los constantes cambios experimentados por el medio radiofónico han provocado una redefinición en el perfil profesional, que atañe al sistema educativo y a experiencias como las radios universitarias. A través de un estudio de caso basado en encuestas y grupo de discusión, los directivos de las principales radios generalistas de Castilla y León y una muestra de egresados con diferentes trayectorias analizan las competencias que deben definir el perfil, las demandadas y las desarrolladas. Se someten los resultados a discusión por parte de los coordinadores de radios universitarias, eslabón intermedio entre educación y ámbito laboral, así como a expertos en educomunicación. Se revelan discrepancias de base en el perfil requerido por los directivos, responsables de reclutar a futuros candidatos, con respecto a las competencias desarrolladas por los alumnos tanto en el Grado como las radios universitarias. La brecha generacional, la percepción del valor del desarrollo tecnológico-digital y los planes de estudio universitarios se erigen en factores de esta divergencia, ante la que se postula formación continua por parte de los agentes implicados, la adaptación a los cambios tecnológicos de la radio y una posible redefinición de los planes de estudio para abarcar de forma integral el desempeño o competencia digital.

The constant changes brought about by the radio as a mass media have caused a redefinition in the professional profile, which concerns the educational system as well as initiatives such as college radios. Through a study case based on surveys and a focus group, the main general radio station directors from Castile and León and graduates with different careers and profiles analyze the skills that define the radio profile, both those that are demanded and those that are developed. The results are submitted for discussion by the coordinators of university radio stations, who are an intermediate link between education and the workplace, as well as experts in educommunication. There are background discrepancies between the profile required by the managers, who are the people responsible for recruiting future candidates, according to the skills developed by the students in both the Degree and as part of their experience in a college radio. The generational gap, the perception of the value of digital-technological development and university study plans stand out as factors that affect this divergence. As a possible solution that is postulated for the agents involved includes permanent learning, an adaptation to technological changes in radio and a possible redefinition of study plans to comprehensively cover digital performance/competence.
