Abstract

- A large number of inspections and modifications of the aircraft's fuel tanks as well as their adjacent systems must be made inside them. The necessary maintenance and repair tasks must be performed by technical personnel, who must physically enter the fuel tank, where it is exposed to many environmental risks. These potential risks include: fire and explosion, toxic and irritating chemicals, oxygen deficiency, and the limited nature of the fuel tank. This paper focuses on modeling and simulating the movement of the hexapod mobile robot using LabView 14.04 used in the interior of the aircraft fuel tank inspecton. The analysis will help to demonstrate if the mobile robot is fit for this such activities and protect the human factor.
