Abstract

"This form of crime, this scourge, this social ill - it's hard to find a deeper, more horrible form of individual terrorism than this," says [Larry Lasky], a San Diego resident. "An infant has their soul ripped out by a pedophile. It doesn't get much worse than that."

So even though Lasky was already running a nonprofit that helps military members and veterans buy homes, even though he was living part time in Orange County to work at his brother's Huntington Beach manufacturing firm, and even though, as he jokes, he "always works and never sleeps," Lasky gave [Clark Stuart] a firm yes.

"One of the reasons it's so prolific at this point is because it's so easy," Stuart says. "It's horrific."
