Mylex Corp.'s eXtremeRAID 1100 controller has helped Unisys achieve a new transaction processing performance world-record for the Aquanta ES2085R 8-way Intel-based NT server.
TPC-C, which is a rigorous benchmark performed under supervision of the Transaction Processing Performance Council, provides an indication of real-world server performance in On-line Analytical Transaction Processing (OLTP) environments. The Aquanta ES2085R achieved 37,757.23 tpmC (transactions per minute) at a cost of $23.18 per transaction. Nine eXtremeRAID 1100 controllers were used to manage a total of 348 disk drives in the TPCC-audited configuration.
