Abstract

Elaboration and evaluation of a program of improvement of the oral understanding. This work defines the oral understanding as the capacity to understand and to extract meaning of all those stimuli presented auditorily. We carry out the evaluation of the understanding by means of the subtest corresponding of the Test of Illinois of Abilities Psicholinguistics, with object of establishing the initial level of the students, of which a part will be subjected to an intervention program with intention of improving it. The sample has belonged to 139 students (of 1º and 2º course of Primary Education) -49,6% and 50,4% respectively-, 79 (56,8%) men and 60 (43,2%) women, belonging 38 (27,3%) at the experimental group and 101 (72,7%) to different groups control. The used design is quasi-experimental, with variable of non well-known assignment, with group of non equivalent control and pretest. The results allow to conclude the effectiveness of the intervention program to improve the capacity of understanding, and hypothetizer about their validity in the déficits prevention that you/they can produce difficulties in the acquisition of school learnings.
