Rat basketball: It's here and it's real. The latest exhibit at the New York Hall of Science in Queens involves two live rats - Hair Jordan and Rat Ewing - who play basketball, one-on-one. It's supposed to be educational.
We're not making this up. Just ask former St. John's basketball coach Lou Carnesecca, who was at the exhibit's opening yesterday: "I've coached all over the world, but I've never seen anything like this."
The demonstration is part of an exhibit called the Science of Sports. The star attraction is rat basketball, played in a specially designed court-cage. It takes three months to train the rats, which Carnesecca found amazing: "Some of my guys have taken four...
