Near the Hudson River at the beginning of the Upper West Side is a rare sight - construction workers putting in the foundation for a big new apartment complex, which is becoming a reality after years of public debate, court proceedings and a search for financing.
No, it is not Donald Trump's Television City, or even his more modest Riverside South development.
It is Daniel Brodsky's Manhattan West. Daniel who? Daniel Brodsky, the understated real estate developer who gets along with community groups as well as any developer can.
