Computer Associates International Inc. said yesterday it has acquired Realogic Inc., a privately held consulting firm, marking CA's first acquisition of a computer services company since its high-profile failure to buy Computer Sciences Corp. earlier this year.
Cleveland-based Realogic, which has 350 employees and specializes in computer networks and software development, last year had $42 million in revenues. Sales have grown at least 66 percent annually in recent years.
Neither company disclosed terms of the deal.
The 5-year-old company was much easier to consume than Computer Sciences, which boasted $6.6 billion in revenues in fiscal 1998 and repeatedly rebuffed CA's overtures until the Islandia company gave up in March.
