Abstract
At present, the websites for the publication of videos are sources of informal knowledge that goes beyond the borders of this field and penetrates, as teacher training courses did years ago, into the practices of teachers. These websites allow teachers to investigate content, resources and teaching experiences at any time and place. In this context, different specialists have emerged, more or less seasoned, who disseminate content that links motor coordination with listening or melodies to accompany movements. The essential objective of this study is to carry out a descriptive analysis of the activities with movement and rings published on the YouTube channel “María José Sánchez Parra”, namesake of its author. In this way, it is intended to value this type of activities, highlighting how motor coordination work from the hoop, frequent in Physical Education, can be effectively adopted in Musical Education sessions. Among the findings, it is attested how the pulse is the most profusely worked rhythmic element in most of the publications, which refers to a very specific model of motor development. In addition, activities according to different levels of difficulty are observed, without a special predilection for a musical style or genre, although there is a tendency to use works of a purely instrumental nature, among other distinctive features. Finally, the adequacy of these materials for use as a source of inspiration in the classrooms of Early Childhood and Primary Education is proposed.
