A few days ago, the young influencer and cultural promoter Luz Valdez, shared on her social networks the story of the Purepecha artisan Feliciana Bautista, who asked her to help her meet in person the Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta, one of the protagonists of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", movie of the extraordinary Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM). Her longing to meet the also activist, an active member of the "Poder Prieto" movement, arose after he wore a cape she created with her hands, during Milan Fashion Week, in September 2022.
Tenoch Huerta shared this beautiful encounter with the artisan originally from the state of Michoacán, Mexico. "See no more this cool, what a pleasure to meet in person the textile artist Feliciana and the new generation, thank you for coming and especially for putting your heart in every thread".
Later, Luz Valdez expressed her annoyance on social networks, when she found out that the cape worn by Tenoch Huerta at Milan Fashion Week, was presented as a work of designer Diana Buendía and the project Hijos del Maíz, and that it had been a collaboration with artisans, without giving credit to Feliciana...
