Say spa
As much as we all love to spend an afternoon at our favorite spa, the cost sometimes keeps us away. Since 2004, Allure magazine, with a variety of other sponsors, has put on Spa Week, which offers a selection of treatments and services at $50 each. A number of Long Island spas are participating in the upcoming event, April 17-23: Nubest Salon and Spa, Manhasset (pictured); Spa Dieci, Manhasset; Jurlique Day Spa, Garden City; intraMed Aesthetic Center, Locust Valley; Hands-On-Health Massage & Day Spa, Bay Shore; Sandalwood Day Spa, Massapequa; Medicia Healing Spa, Syosset and Quoque; Gurney's Inn Resort & Seawater Spa, Montauk; and Laser Cosmetica, Great Neck.
A portion of Spa Week proceeds will benefit Cancer and Careers, an organization that helps working women deal with the disease....
