Started as an online modeling competition, now going live in the UK, watch some of the most talented model kids and teens around the world as they compete for the title of the ;Princess of the Universe 2023'.
The Filipino international aspiring models who will compete for this year's competition include Francesca Concepcion - Category D (14-16 years old) and Nia Janelle Incabo - Category E (17-19 years old) who are both representing the Filipino community in Qatar.
Unica Raija De Vera, the reigning Princess of the Universe, who is also a Filipina, was crowned in 2021.
The above-mentioned Filipina talents have been under the management of JeanTrix De Vera, National Director for Princess of the Universe-Qatar. Recently, they had back-to-back interviews with local media and with special guest Mitch Desunia, the International Director for Princess of the Universe.
In an interview with Qatar Tribune, the three multi-talented Filipinas shared their journey in modelling, pageantry, and this world-class competition.
The Reigning Princess
Unica Raija de Vera is the reigning Princess of the Universe 2021. She was born in Pangasinan, Philippines. Her family moved to Qatar when she was three years old.
Now at 14, De Vera advocates to help, providing school supplies and feeding programmes to underprivileged children in her hometown.
She considers herself as a young charity worker because as young as five years old, her parents taught her to save a portion of any blessing she received. Every year, she and her family sponsor school supplies for kindergarten schools in poor barangays in Sta. Barbara. She also helped some families in Qatar during the pandemic.
De Vera was featured in some magazines in the UK and Qatar. She is an achiever in school where she learned some disciplines in studying that she shares with other students through vlogging.
