In recent years, more and more special subject libraries have been built. This paper aims to provide reference for the construction of a special subject library in colleges and universities. [Methods/Process] Using the literature review method and the typical case analysis method, based on the analysis of the status quo of the domestic special subject library construction, this paper takes the Shenzhen University Town Library Law Research Center as an example to introduce its construction background, its construction and analyze its characteristics. [Results/Conclusions] The construction of special subject libraries helps to promote the core competitiveness of university libraries in terms of resource and service. In the construction of special subject libraries, university libraries are suggested to actively seek opportunities, determine library themes, cooperate with external departments in library construction, strengthen publicity and guidance, and build a three-dimensional service system.
