Chota 13 is one of the most recognized names in Medellín's Comuna 13 and his art is on some of the walls of this neighborhood, once stigmatized by violence and today noted for its tourism. Now this graffiti artist seeks to take his talent to other latitudes.
"I feel very proud to be representing my commune at a cultural, artistic level, because if we look back the commune is in people's minds as the most violent place, a place where no one could pass, not even the relatives of the people who live there," the artist tells EFE.
As part of this process, Chota 13 visited Bogota on Monday and painted graffiti in the Iberia Space, opened by the Spanish airline so that Colombians can get to know "the experience of flying" in an A350 aircraft.
