You probably haven't seen Chuck Jones and maybe you don't know who he is, but you've met him.
When a product from ACME, that obviously pre-Ralph Nader company, malfunctions on an obsessive Wile E. Coyote, you meet Chuck Jones. When Daffy Duck vainly tries to be a dashing hero, you meet Chuck Jones. When you watch "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" each year, you meet Chuck Jones.
He directed many of the Warner Bros. classic cartoons from 1938 to 1964 and was recently declared, almost officially, the best cartoon director ever.
At age 82, he gets to do what he enjoys: Drop boulders on coyotes.
Fourteen years after his last Warner Bros. cartoon, Charles M. Jones has created a new Road Runner cartoon. "Chariots of Fur" precedes the live-action movie "Richie Rich," which opened in theaters Wednesday.
It's the first wide-screen Road Runner cartoon directed by Jones since the original Warner Bros. cartoon studio closed in 1964 (Warner Bros....
