Abstract

For at least three decades, Anglo-American applied linguistics has been developing cognitive theory as a method for the study of literary texts to the point of constituting what has been called the cognitive turn. This has meant the configuration of a transdisciplinary method in which the literary text is studied from neuropsychological, anthropological, linguistic, emotional, etc. assumptions, in its creative, textual and receptive dimensions. This constitutes a new critical approach that renews studies on literary style and its effects. In this article I intend to define and exemplify in an adequate and brief way the concepts of fictionality and literariness, in relation to the concept of literature as a particular discursive modality with specific characteristics. This entails the methodological confluence of neuropsychological bases with the linguistic construction of the text. To this end, we will rely on both psychobiological studies and the appropriate instruments provided by linguistics.

Desde hace al menus tres decadas la lingiiistica aplicada anglo-norteamericana ha venido desarrollando la teoria cognitiva como metodo de estudio de los textos literarios hasta constituir lo que se ha denominado el giro cognitivo. Elio ha supuesto la configuracion de un metodo transdisciplinar donde el texto literario se estudia desde presupuestos neuropsicologicos, antropologicos, linguisticos, emocionales, etc., en su dimension creativa, textual y receptiva, constituyendo una nueva vertiente critica que renueva los estudios sobre el estilo literario y sus efectos. En este articulo me propongo definir y ejemplificar de manera adecuada y breve los conceptos de ficcionalidad y de literariedad, en torno al concepto de literatura como modalidad discursiva particular que posee unas caracteristicas especificas. Elio conlleva la confluencia metodologica de unas bases neuropsicologicas con la construccion linguistica del texto. Para ello contaremos tanto con estudios psicobiologicos como con los instrumentos adecuados aportados por la linguistica.
