Abstract

Brian Dutton's catalog established the poetic corpus of Juan Tallante based on two testimonies from the 16th century (the Cancionero de Rennert and the Cancionero General). This work expands upon those with two additional sources: the Cancionero de Vindel and a Valencian poetic incunabulum, both from the 15th century. Three poems that critical tradition had suggested be attributed to Juan Tallante are studied, to end up expanding his corpus with two of them. And, with the expansion of sources, the textual tradition of the only poem that is no longer a unique testimony is analyzed, to end up offering its critical edition.

El catálogo de Brian Dutton establecía el corpus poético de Juan Tallante a partir de dos testimonios del siglo XVI (el Cancionero de Rennert y el Cancionero General), que se amplían en este trabajo a otras dos fuentes: el Cancionero de Vindel y un incunable poético valenciano, ambas del siglo XV. Se estudian tres poemas que la tradición crítica había sugerido que se atribuyesen a Juan Tallante, para acabar enriqueciendo su corpus con otros dos. Y, con la ampliación de fuentes, se analiza la tradición textual del único poema que deja de ser testimonio único, para acabar ofreciendo su edición crítica.
