Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in rate of reading comprehension resulting from differences between three particular specifications of printing type when read by pupils of grade four to eight in the public schools of Lincoln, Nebraska. It was believed the results would make a needed contribution to that fund of information necessary to guide the selection and production of textbooks and other reading materials used so continuously by the children in the schools of America.
