For the fifth year in a row, the NCAA Division III volleyball title belongs to Washington University.
The Bears (42-3) claimed their unprecedented fifth-consecutive national championship Saturday night, storming back to topple California Lutheran University 15-6, 17-19, 13-15, 15-11, 15-11 in the final.
The title was the Bears' sixth in seven years - a 1990 second-place finish being the only exception during that run. The six titles equals the Division III record set originally by the University of California-San Diego.
