Abstract

This exegesis examines the integration between cyber behavioral sciences, digital forensics, and cybersecurity, addressing a critical gap in existing cybersecurity strategies – the underutilization of behavioral and psychological insights. The research reveals the necessity of a holistic approach and outlines the development of the Cyber Forensics Behavioral Analysis model. This predictive framework aims to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of cybersecurity threat prediction, especially from specific Autonomous System Numbers. The study employs a mixed-methods strategy, combining quantitative and qualitative research techniques to forge a comprehensive framework that merges digital forensics, cybersecurity, and cyber behavioral sciences. The significance of this interdisciplinary approach is highlighted, demonstrating its potential to improve the prediction, prevention, and response mechanisms against the increasingly sophisticated and human-centric nature of modern cyber threats. The exegesis further offers a cohesive narrative formed by a trilogy of papers, each contributing to advancing forensic cyberpsychology within cybersecurity. By synthesizing technical analyses with behavioral sciences, the dissertation advocates for an integrated approach, reinforcing the indispensability of understanding cyber threats' psychological, behavioral, and technical intricacies. The culmination of this work provides a sophisticated framework critical for addressing the complex challenges of contemporary cyber threats, marking a significant advancement in the field of forensic cyberpsychology and the broader cybersecurity domain.
