O independentismo e a origem do nacionalismo catalão: Razão ou sentimento?

Abstract

O nacionalismo catalão pode ser entendido como expressão de um dos movimentos separatistas mais famosos no espaço Europeu. A evolução do nacionalismo catalão deu origem a ruturas sociais e políticas, das quais dificilmente possa haver uma volta para trás. Este trabalho pretende (1) analisar os conceitos teóricos do nacionalismo, os tipos de nacionalismo. Estudar os conceitos base que permitem solidificar conhecimentos teóricos para avançar numa análise histórico-social. (2) Analisar dois movimentos separatistas europeus, pela sua importância, mas também pelas suas parecenças e ligações ao movimento catalão. (3) Analisar o passado histórico de Espanha, perceber a origem da catalunha, avançando pelos anos brevemente, até chegarmos ao ano 2000. (4) Analisar todo o início do século XX e o conflicto gigantesco que deu origem ao separatismo como o conhecemos hoje, estudando os factores chaves do marketing, da etnia, da cultura e da língua, culminando numa conclusão.

Catalan nationalism can be understood as an expression of one of the most famous separatist movements in the European space. The evolution of this nationalism has given rise to social and political disruptions, from which there can be hardly a turn back.

This work intends to (1) analyze the theoretical concepts of nationalism and its types. Study the basic concepts that allow us to solidify theoretical knowledge to progress in a social-historical analysis. (2) Analyze two European separatist movements, for their importance, but also their similarities and connections to the Catalan movement itself. (3) Analyze the historical past of Spain, understand the origin of Catalonia, moving through the years until we reach the year 2000. (4) Analyze the entire beginning of the 20th century and the gigantic conflict that gave rise to separatism definition as we know today, studying the key factors of marketing, ethnicity, culture and language, finishing with a conclusion.
