A young street vendor from Aba, Abia State, has experienced a remarkable transformation after a chance encounter at the city’s annual fashion week.
Kingsley Joseph, who had spent most of his life selling bottled water on the streets, was catapulted to fame when a photograph of him strutting down the runway went viral.
Kingsley’s life had been marked by hardship. Growing up, he was forced to abandon his education at a young age to contribute to his family’s income. His days were consumed by the arduous task of selling water under the scorching sun, his meager earnings barely sufficient to meet basic needs.
Despite his challenging circumstances, Kingsley harbored a deep-seated love for fashion. He would often admire the stylish attire of passersby, envisioning a life where he could express himself through his own unique style.
