To say that The Legend of Zelda saga is one of the healthiest in video games is something that goes without saying. But it is also fair to point out that it is one of the best performing in recent years and that its games have been the most influential of the last decade: if Dark Souls monopolized the collective imagination from 2011 to 2021, we can say that Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom do (and will do) the same in the period 2017-2027. And, well, that's not to mention that Tears is perhaps the best video game ever created; mechanically revolutionary, deep on different levels and (and this is no small thing) accessible to a mass audience. The legend of Zelda is not only a collection of great games, but also a perfect ambassador of videogames around the world and a catalog of what the medium has to offer in terms of interactivity.
And yet, the saga has a B side. Parallel to the major works, generally associated with desktop consoles (Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild...), Nintendo has always reserved a space for...
