Abstract

Pertinent also is the implementation of effective nursing interventions for self-management and social support, along with indicators that allow nurses to assess the health status and sensitivity to care interventions that lead to decision-making that favors the well-being of individuals experiencing DM2 and involve their family environment. [...]it as recommended to validate it in other languages and particular cultures". Building preliminarily on the NOC outcomes "Self-management: diabetes" (1619) and "Social support"(1504), the paucity of social support nursing interventions for diabetes self- management", the need for measurement instruments corresponding to nursing interventions in this context, and the existing nursing theoretical support for developing interventions targeting this research phenomenon", the objective of this study was to validate, by expert consensus, the NOC "Selfmanagement: diabetes" (1619) and "Social support" (1504). Sample Nine experts participated in the first phase of the study meeting the following criteria: being a nursing professional with over two years of experience in the area of chronic noncommunicable diseases, having scientific production on nursing process and standardized language systems, and having research and/or academic experience in the area.
