The prestigious Forbes magazine has published its annual list of the richest people in Spain, and this year the numbers have reached an all-time high. The wealth of the 100 most prominent Spanish millionaires has reached 250,400 million euros, which is equivalent to a growth of 27.7% compared to last year. This increase is a clear sign of the good moment that key sectors of the Spanish economy are going through, such as textiles, construction or commerce, from which a good part of the fortunes on the list come from.
Among the names of the richest businessmen, a Catalan stands out, who has climbed rapidly in the ranking, going from tenth to fifth place from one year to the next. This businessman has established himself as the richest person in Catalonia, with a fortune that exceeds 4,000 million euros and has grown 1,800 million in just one year.
