Sweden's IT market is forecast to record a stable growth trend year-on-year in 2025, and throughout the medium-term forecast period to 2028 the IT market is forecast to outpace domestic GDP. This is because of the strong development trend around the AI ecosystem, based on Sweden's position as a leading recipient of high-density data centre and GPU cluster investment flows and the strength of the local innovation ecosystem in ICT and other digitally intensive sectors of the economy. Advances in AI will also have a positive effect on digital transformation trends by boosting software developer productivity and making more large software services projects to update ageing legacy software viable. Geopolitical and economic risks continue to be a source of downside, but the strategic importance of IT investments means that the sector should prove relatively resilient.
