* Wellingtonians were reminded of the Ngauranga abattoir fiasco |
during a citizen's jury hearing on Capital Power's future yesterday.
Former Ngauranga Meat Processors board chairman Syd McCrone told jurors Wellington City Council should dispose of its 51 percent share in the company for the best price it could, and leave any question of a merger to the future owners.
He said uncanny parallels existed between what happened with the abattoir and Capital Power's future.
