Anti-motorway campaigners have launched their final campaign to stop the motorway through Te Aro.
About 270 people at a public meeting in upper Cuba Street on Monday night called on Wellington City Council and Transit NZ to abandon plans for new roads through Te Aro.
Campaign for a Better City spokesman Roland Sapsford said it was time roading proponents stopped thinking about Te Aro as bulldozer fodder.
