Abstract

The IT market in Colombia is forecast to accelerate in local currency terms in 2025 as economic growth strengthens, but due to expected peso depreciation against the US dollar, the IT market growth trend is forecast to decelerate year-on-year in USD terms. The medium-term outlook is positive based on the potential for higher levels of digital intensity in Colombia, and the forecast has been boosted by the cloud and AI ecosystem development with investments from Oracle, OData and AWS. AI will have a positive impact by increasing capacity and lowering costs for IT services provision, which will accelerate digital adoption trends. However, economic and political risks could negatively impact consumer and investor sentiment.
