Wellington ratepayers are set to lend $300,000 to help a film and television schoolset up in the Capital.
A Wellington City Council committee yesterday unanimously recommended loaning themoney to the New Zealand Film and Television School Trust, saying it was vital ifWellington wanted to be New Zealand's film production centre.
The money will cover the school's set-up costs in time to begin teaching in March.The loan still has to be approved by the full council.
