The first of Kapiti's think big projects, a $10.36 million Waikanae-Paraparaumu combined sewage treatment scheme, is about to get under way.
The design and build tender was won by a Fulton Hogan-Montgomery Watson consortium from two other shortlisted tenderers, and is within Kapiti Coast District Council's budget for the work. It should start in September and be completed next year, the council announced yesterday.
