SOUNDS like it's gonna be big. Actor Brian Sergent says Roger Hall's new play is transferring to the WestpacTrust Stadium to accommodate its audience.
After its Wellington season, the cast's going on tour, first with All-American 80s rocker Bruce Springsteen, then through the Pacific with a final performance in Fiji at George Speight's execution.
Er . . . right. So it's the sort of play that leaves the audience hanging? Actually no. Take A Chance On Me is a comedy about midlife love in the 21st century.
And while Sergent's exaggerating about venues and tours, Wellingtonians are anticipating the show will be a winner, with 48 percent of its Circa season already booked.
Sergent and Michele Amas, who star in the play, say they're looking forward to tomorrow when they'll perform before an audience for the first time. Sergent describes the public as the last cast member and says rehearsals are "a bit like trying to...
