IF THE BEEHIVE can be put on wheels, so can former prime minister Sir Keith Holyoake's statue, his family says.
The 2.5-metre bronze statue of Sir Keith stands outside the State Services Commission in Molesworth St.
However his family say its rightful place is in Parliament's grounds.
Sir Keith's eldest daughter, Diane Comber, a sculptor, said the family had never wanted the statue to be put in its current position. The location had been obscured and the space around it made even smaller since it was commissioned by the government in 1990.
