Abstract

Academic tutoring functions as a teaching training point, the tutor acts as a facilitator of the student's development at a personal, academic and intellectual level, and a promoter in academic and research processes. The objective of the paper is to socialize the results of a literature review about academic tutoring and the need for its transformation according to the context and educational needs of the twenty-first century. The narrative bibliographic review shows a starting point in those contents for the development of an academic tutoring process designed from the educational, didactic and research. Álvarez González (2017) contextualiza la tutoría en varios aspectos clave: el factor de calidad de la educación, las fortalezas y debilidades del modelo actual, la función docente y la función tutorial, los nuevos roles y funciones de la orientación y acción tutorial, y el marco conceptual de la tutoría (pp. 23-30).
