Abstract
This research aimed to examine the direct influence of efficacious project governance on project success, as well as its indirect effect via relational norms within the Jordanian electricity transmission sector. Hypotheses for the study were formulated through a comprehensive review of existing literature. To assess the impact of effective project governance on project success, both independently and mediated by relational norms, a survey instrument was designed.Data were gathered from a sample of 237 employees working in the Jordanian electricity transmission industry, yielding 196 valid responses from the distributed questionnaires. The acquired data were subjected to reliability, descriptive, correlation, and normality analyses using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was employed to assess the model's validity, while structural equation modeling (SEM) using Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) version 24 was utilized to test the hypotheses. The results underscore a significant and positive association between efficacious project governance and project success. Furthermore, the findings indicate a substantial improvement in project success attributable to relational norms. Based on the outcomes of data analysis and the literature review, recommendations and suggestions were provided to aid senior management and project managers in the attainment of organizational strategic objectives and the successful completion of projects.

Introduction
Over the past half-century, a substantial body of research has been dedicated to determining factors that enhance project success rates. Concurrently, scholars have developed refined success criteria for measuring and evaluating project outcomes. project success is gauged at its conclusion, taking into account both objective and subjective measures of success criteria.(Muller and Judgev,2012; Denicol et al., 2020; Zwikael and Meredith, 2021).Despite these insights, project success rates frequently fall short of researchers' expectations (Judgev& Miller, 2005; Lehtonen &Martinsuo, 2006). Consequently, researchers have expanded their perspectives on project success determinants, placing increased emphasis on the structural qualities of the project environment in which it is implemented.
Since 2005, the notion of project governance as a success factor has garnered significant scholarly attention (Biesenthal & Wilden, 2014), owing to its essential structural qualities for project achievement (Muller &Lecoeuvre, 2014). Pinto (2014) delineates project governance as the employment of systems, authority structures, and...
