The Registered Environmental Health Specialist-Registered Sanitarian (REHS-RS) is our most predominant credential. Professionals who hold this credential demonstrate competency in an impressive range of environmental health topics including vector control, water quality, hazardous materials, air quality, the built environment, emergency readiness, and community education. REHS-RS credential holders are also key to ensuring communities comply with local, state, and federal environmental health regulations. The Certifi ed Profession-Food Safety (CP-FS) credential is for individuals who hold food safety positions within their agency, organization, or business. These positions include quality assurance and quality control managers, facility managers, food-safe chemical suppliers, and more traditional food safety positions such as regulatory inspectors and investigators. CP-FS holders can conduct facility plan reviews, evaluate hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) plans or other risk-based food safety programs, understand the causes and prevention of foodborne illnesses, and analyze and implement sanitation standard operating procedures for safety and effectiveness. Here, several resources that help on credential journey are mentioned.
