Abstract

Este artículo explora la representación cambiante de los espacios rurales en el cine argentino contemporáneo, enfocándose en dos películas Breve historia del planeta verde (2019) de Santiago Loza y Trenque Lauquen (2022) de Laura Citarella. Estas películas se alejan de las representaciones tradicionales del campo argentino, presentando el entorno rural como un espacio benigno y comunal. Al examinar estas películas, la investigación busca descubrir cómo desafían las narrativas dominantes que separan los elementos humanos y no humanos y redefinen los espacios interiores y exteriores. El análisis profundiza en el diálogo entre las tradiciones literarias y cinematográficas argentinas y en cómo estas películas abordan los conflictos contemporáneos que afectan a las áreas rurales y a la humanidad. Breve historia del planeta verde sigue a tres amigos de toda la vida que regresan a su pueblo natal, destacando sus luchas personales y la mezcla de experiencias humanas y no humanas. De manera similar, Trenque Lauquen navega por las vidas entrelazadas de sus personajes en un entorno rural vulnerable pero acogedor. Este estudio ofrece una comprensión matizada de cómo estas películas reconfiguran los imaginarios rurales, enfatizando la solidaridad y la colaboración entre diversas formas de vida.
