The present study of quantitative research of type, descriptive correlation of cross section, was carried out during the months of July to December of 2017; with the purpose of determining the style of leadership of the head nurse in the Centers and Health Posts of the Microred La Esperanza; and, the level of job satisfaction of the technical nursing staff of these centers. The universe was constituted by 92 nursing technicians selected according to inclusion criteria, to whom the instruments were applied: Rating scale of the leadership style and the satisfaction scale - Herzbergiana work dissatisfaction; the rights of confidentiality and voluntary participation were respected. The data was processed and analyzed by the SPPS program ver. 20 and the results were processed in single and double entry tables.
The results show that 70.7 percent of chief nurses practice transformational leadership style, 37.0 percent of technical staff have an average level of job satisfaction. Likewise, a positive and highly significant correlation was reported (r = 0.65, p <0.01), between the transformational style and job satisfaction; and a highly significant influence also, (x2 = 16.613, p <0.01) between the style of leadership and job satisfaction.
