Abstract

The research was conducted in order to determine whether the intervention program based on active methodologies promotes the development and use of autonomous learning strategies in students of the management career, second cycle of Catholic University Los Angeles of Chimbote, Ucayali – 2015. The design of the research was quasi experimental type of pretest, posttest and control group. The sample was made up of 40 students divided into two groups (control and experimental), who were simultaneously applied a pretest. Then, the experimental group participated in the intervention program based on active methodologies; finally they were administered simultaneously a posttest. The applied Pretest and posttest was the questionnaire of autonomous strategies work (CETA), created by Lopez (2010). The data processing was performed using SPSS. The hypotheses were contrasted by U test Mann - Whitney. The results show that the p-value in the post-test is less than the significance level (0.01) indicating that the post-test in the averages of CG and EG, are highly significant. It was concluded that, the program based on active methodologies promotes the development and use of autonomous learning, as well as the levels of expansion strategies, collaboration, conceptualization, planning, preparation for exams and students’ participation on the Management Career, second cycle of Catholic University Los Angeles of Chimbote, Ucayali - 2015.
