Delhi has been placed on high alert following a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam region on Tuesday, April 22, in which 26 people were killed. The attack, attributed to the Lashkar-e-Taiba offshoot The Resistance Front (TRF), took place in the popular tourist area of Baisaran, near the Pahalgam resort town in Anantnag district.
The attack occurred around 2:30 p.m., when gunmen opened fire on tourists and locals in the upper meadows of the Baisaran valley, a serene spot known for its scenic beauty, often referred to as the 'Switzerland of India.'
