La enseñanza del romancero en el Bachillerato: de la legislación educativa a los libros de texto

Abstract

Partiendo de una revisión preliminar de la legislación educativa, este artículo pretende analizar el tratamiento que el romancero recibe en los libros de texto de Lengua castellana y literatura de primero de Bachillerato. El corpus lo conforman ocho de los manuales más populares en la LOMLOE, publicados entre 2022 y 2023 por las editoriales Akal, Casals, Editex, McGraw-Hill, Oxford, Santillana, SGEL y SM. En concreto, se pretende estudiar cómo estructuran el contenido sobre los romances y qué semejanzas y diferencias hay en torno a la definición del género, la distinción entre romancero viejo y nuevo, la oralidad, la escritura, el origen, la clasificación temática, el estilo y la selección de textos para la lectura y el comentario. Todo ello proporcionará una imagen representativa de la importancia que tiene el romancero en los actuales programas de bachillerato y de los conocimientos que puede adquirir el alumnado, a la vez que servirá para calibrar la calidad de los libros de texto de Lengua castellana y literatura en relación a este aspecto.

Based on a preliminary review of educational legislation, the objective of this paper is to analyze the treatment that the romancero receives in the Spanish Language and Literature textbooks for the first year of Baccalaureate. The corpus consists of eight of the most popular textbooks under the LOMLOE framework, all of them published between 2022 and 2023 by Akal, Casals, Editex, McGraw-Hill, Oxford, Santillana, SGEL and SM. Specifically, it aims to study how these textbooks structure the content about the romancero and identify the similarities and differences regarding the definition of the genre, the distinction between old and new romances, the intersections between orality and writing, the origin, the thematic classification, the style and the selection of texts for reading and commentary. All of this will provide a representative portrait of the importance of the romancero in Spanish Baccalaureate programs and the knowledge that students can acquire, while also serving to evaluate the quality of Spanish Language and Literature textbooks in relation to this aspect.
