Abstract

El Programa de Tutorías del Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) constituye una estrategia fundamental en su Nuevo Modelo Educativo (NME) denominado como Humanismo para la Justicia Social. La tutoría académica ha demostrado su eficacia en disminuir la deserción y potenciar el desarrollo integral; sin embargo, el éxito del programa se basa en gran medida en la formación y profesionalización de los tutores académicos, quienes requieren competencias pedagógicas, metodológicas y socioemocionales para brindar un acompañamiento efectivo. Este artículo examina la implementación del programa de tutorías en el marco del NME, destacando la necesidad de reforzar la formación de los tutores como un desafío clave para consolidar una educación equitativa e inclusiva. Se analizan fortalezas y retos, proponiendo estrategias para incrementar su impacto.

The Tutoring Program of the National Institute of Technology of Mexico (TecNM) constitutes a fundamental strategy in its New Educational Model (NME) called Humanism for Social Justice. Academic tutoring has proven effective in reducing dropout rates and promoting comprehensive development; however, the success of the program is largely based on the training and professionalization of academic tutors, who require pedagogical, methodological, and socio-emotional skills to provide effective support. This article examines the implementation of the tutoring program within the framework of the NME, highlighting the need to strengthen the training of tutors as a key challenge to consolidate an equitable and inclusive education. Strengths and challenges are analyzed, proposing strategies to increase its impact.
