Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the author's image of the Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquin Sabina. To this end, the main theoretical contributions on the author's image are first reviewed to establish which concepts and terms are most operative for this study. Following this state of the art, Sabina's authorial image is approached from a diachronic perspective and an authorial project is identified, dominated primarily by an image of a rebellious scoundrel and mainly integrated by the authorial posture of the prototypical singer-songwriter, the nocturnal debauchee fond of vices, the poet, and the old man.
