Abstract

This paper focuses on the relationship between conflicts and ironies in individual trajectories and the plot of Juan Rulfo' s Pedro Paramo (1955). These conflicts impact human relations that in return reflect the ironies that were studied by Aristoteles, Plato, Quintilian, Bergson, Booth, Fry, Kierkegaard, Barreras and Hernandez. Thus, the conflicts provide the context for ironies and these in return reflect the conflictive nature of Juan Rulfo's protagonists.

En este trabajo se propone un estudio sobre la relación entre los conflictos y las ironías en las trayectorias individuales y la trama de Pedro Páramo (1955), de Juan Rulfo. Los conflictos representan la base de las relaciones humanas, que a su vez reflejan las ironías estudiadas por Aristóteles, Platón, Quintiliano, Bergson, Booth, Frye, Kierkegaard, Barreras y Hernández. Por tanto, el lector se vuelve testigo de una complementariedad en la que los conflictos crean el ámbito propicio para las ironías y estas a su vez reflejan los conflictos.
