Abstract

En este estudio de caso se abordó de manera intensiva y en profundidad el fenómeno para entender a los docentes, sus experiencias, sus percepciones y sus emociones con respecto al liderazgo educativo ejercido por los administrativos y directores de escuela. Se empleó la técnica de la entrevista en profundidad y la observación para poder comprender la percepción de los docentes sobre el liderazgo educativo de los administrativos en las escuelas Título I del distrito escolar Federal Way, en el Estado de Washington. Por tratarse de un estudio de casos, resultó oportuno emplear diversas fuentes como complemento de la investigación, por lo que también resultó válida la revisión de documentos y la observación para fundamentar las entrevistas a los informantes, permitiendo una mayor comprensión del fenómeno estudiado.

In this case study, the phenomenon was intensively and in-depth addressed to understand teachers, their experiences, their perceptions and their emotions with respect to the educational leadership exercised by school administrators and principals. The technique of in-depth interview and observation was used to understand teachers' perceptions of the educational leadership of administrators in Title I schools in the Federal Way School District in Washington State. As it is a case study, it was appropriate to use various sources as a complement to the research, so the review of documents and observation to support the interviews with the informants was also valid, allowing a greater understanding of the phenomenon studied.
