In the current integration of digital technology and cultural inheritance, Multimedia Information Retrieval (MIR) technology is crucial for large-scale data management and cultural dissemination. This study constructs an optimized MIR model for promoting Zhuxian Town woodblock New Year paintings. It innovatively uses the spatial vector model to analyze New Year painting features and builds a feature extraction-retrieval-precise promotion model to enhance dissemination. Experiments show that this technology improves the dissemination of New Year paintings in multiple dimensions, such as more stable decorative feature extraction and a higher matching degree of color combinations with modern themes. Meanwhile, the study points out its challenges in cultural heritage applications and indicates that relevant methods have cross-industry value, providing support for the digital dissemination of traditional art and cross-industry data processing.
