Slovenski jezik v kontekstu hipotetične srednjeevropske jezikovne zveze

Abstract

V prispevku je slovenski jezik obravnavan s stališča slovensko-nemškega jezikovnega stika. Prikazano je dvostransko prevzemanje občno- in lastnoimenskega besedja iz jezika v jezik. Analizirani so tudi nekateri z nemškimi izposojenkami in tujkami prevzeti slovenski besedotvorni morfemi, in sicer pripone, ter nekateri besedotvorni vzorci, ki so v slovenščini postali bolj produktivni pod vplivom nemščine. Z vidika teorije in metodologije zgodovinskega jezikoslovja se odgovarja na vprašanje, ali so prikazane prevzete in kalkirane jezikovne prvine zadostni pogoj za upravičenost koncepta hipotetične srednjeevropske jezikovne zveze.1

The article approaches Slovene from the viewpoint of the Slovene-German language contact. First, the bidirectional borrowing of common and proper names from one language to another is presented. Secondly, some word-formational morphemes, i.e. suffixes, borrowed into Slovene alongside the German words they belonged to are analysed, as well as some word-formatinal patterns that became productive in Slovene under the influence of German. Using the theoretical approach and the methodology of historical linguistics, the article answers the question whether the presented borrowed and calqued linguistic features represent a sufficient condition to justify the concept of the hypothesised Central European convergence linguistic area.
