NEW Tricks (BBC1, 9pm) is a second series for the detectives brought back from retirement.
And with stars including James Bolam, Dennis Waterman, Amanda Redman, Alun Armstrong, Anita Dobson, Jenny Agutter and Keith Barron, it's like a roll call of British TV history.
No wonder it was the highest rating new drama series on the channel last year.
The hour-long episodes follow the antics of three retired cops recruited by Redman's Supt Sandra Pullman.
Gerry Standing (Waterman), Jack Halford (Bolam) and Brian Lane (Armstrong) are all willing to resort to unconventional methods to close a case.
