Abstract

In Utah, public education is a community endeavor. It is shaped by the dedication and service of teachers, the curiosity of children, the commitment of families, and the support of policymakers and partners. This annual report reflects the collective effort that makes Utah's education system unique. The data and stories within shows the challenges Utah has faced and the milestones reached, all united by a shared belief in the boundless potential of each child in the state. This report provides data and information on the CORE Functions: (1) Academic Standards; (2) Compliance & Monitoring; (3) Educator Effectiveness; (4) Finance; (5) Policy; and (6) Reporting, Data & Statistics. This report provides also provides data and information on Utah's education initiatives: (1) Adult Education; (2) Arts Instruction; (3) Dual Language Immersion; (4) Early Learning; (5) Educator Supports; (6) Next Generation Learning; (7) Prevention; (8) School Improvement; (9) Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM); (10) Student Support; (11) Supporting School Conditions; and (12) Supporting Transitions. Overviews of required Legislative Reports are also provided.
