Abstract

Provincial roads in Aceh Besar Regency pose an important role in supporting regional connectivity. However, several problems related to the low performance of services are found, such as Simpang Lamreung-Cot Iri Road and Krueng Raya-Batas Pidie Road. These are severely damaged and have a negative impact on the mobility. This study aims to evaluate the performance of provincial road service susing a quantitative method and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) through a questionnaire involved 162 provincial road users. The quality of provincial road services evaluation included seven factors with a total of twenty indicators. The results of the study indicated that the performance of provincial road services that need performance improvement with the highest priority include seven indicators, those that needed to be maintained are three indicators, and those that needed to improve performance with low priority are ten indicators. The indicators that require performance improvement with the main priority are road shoulders, road markings, instructions, and warnings stated by signs and other markings, public street lighting, road pavement conditions, road surface roughness conditions, as well as pavement thickness. It is recommended that the Aceh Provincial Government improve the performance of indicators in quadrants A and C to ensure provincial road infrastructure meets safety, comfort, and efficiency standards.
